Headset

This type of LTraining is perfect for product knowledge, systems training, store tours and other areas where “hands-on” training can enhance learning.  For product knowledge, associates wearing a headset are placed in front of the merchandise they sell.  Listening to instruction, employees learn what they need to know to do their jobs more effectively.  Throughout the program they are asked to perform specific tasks allowing them to become physically engaged in the training, which results in higher retention as they “learn-by-doing.” In addition to teaching the associate information, each LTraining program instructs them how to use that information while engaging with the customer. Where needed, headset delivery can be accompanied by visual supplemental material.

For systems training, the trainee works on the physical unit and listens to instruction that takes them through the operation of the equipment.  Headset delivery of LTraining® has been successfully utilized for POS training, RF technology and a wide variety of other system needs.  It has proven to be more effective than text based training or assisted training by another employee.

Product Knowledge And Sales Training: Mattresses
This module was created for a client who was rolling out a new line of mattresses. It needed to accomplish two goals.  First, the training needed to cover the features and benefits of the new products. Second, the training was intended to make the sales team more confident selling mattresses in general.  It accomplished this by offering suggestions on determining customers' sleep needs, and then provided a strategy for using that information to make recommendations and up sell.  Sales people also learned how to use the mattresses gallery as a selling tool.  This training was conducted in the mattress gallery with a headset.  The trainees were asked to move about the gallery and perform different exercises while the training was being conducted.
Product Knowledge: HD Television & Surround Sound
This module was custom created as part of a series to help associates become more comfortable with high tech electronics. This set of examples reviewed different aspects of the home theater area of the store. As a direct result of this training, this area of the client’s store experienced a rise in sales in this department. The training was conducted with a headset, in the electronics department, with an exercise guide and study sheet.
Operational and Compliance Training: Restricted Sales
This client needed to familiarize all associates with the laws regarding restricted and regulated merchandise, as well as how to handle customers trying to purchase these items. The training was conducted with a headset and trainees were given a quiz after the training was complete.
Product Knowledge And Sales Training: Footwear Technology
Our client needed training that covered all footwear in a broad sense.  Their associates were given basic and advanced training on footwear types, construction, manufacturing, and material.  This module was delivered with a headset and workbook.  The trainees were guided through their stories while various types of footwear were described, then asked to complete both physical and written exercises to reinforce the information covered.

Online

Computer Based Delivery With computer based delivery, the goal is to engage the trainee with sight and sound training, through an easy-to-use interactive program.  Instead of screens full of heavy text, we utilize our LTraining concept of minimal reading by replacing heavy text with quick captions, pictures and strong narration supported by custom upbeat music designed to engage the trainee.  In addition, our computer based LTraining programs are often used in conjunction with a headset component, allowing the trainee to complete the PC based section and then continue with “hands-on” portions conducted on the sales floor.  LTraining® on the computer can be delivered via the web, a local program, stand alone kiosk, or CD-ROM.  All programs are fully SCORM compliant and include testing.

Revlon/Ulta Video-Video Tape for Instore Display
Revlon wanted to supplement their live training with interactive training.  The “Rev’s Up Training concept, animation, and custom theme were introduced to mirror the excitement and prestige of Revlon marketing.  The product knowledge training program included a video introduction by the client, animated segments on various new products, and regional commercial spots so the trainee was familiarized with all aspects of the Revlon brand.  This took the form of CD and intranet based instruction but has also moved into video and DVD.
Village Pantry Employment Law: Discrimination
Ignorance of the discrimination policies and laws can cost companies millions in litigation. In many states, this training is mandatory for all levels of Associates. This training explains the laws, regulations, policies, and company procedures relating to this aspect of employment law.
NDEI-CME Web Course
The NDEI Continuing Medical Education course shown here presented the challenge of integrating simultaneous video of the presenter and their video slide content.  Indeed, the doctor was particularly concerned that the quality of his video was maintained.  Needless to say, he was extremely pleased by our conversion of his video to flash.
Brain-Migraine Animation
This video animation was created to demonstrate the brain action during a migraine headache.  The animator spent many hours with the doctor in defining the visual representation of this action.  There are differing theories of the process and the interaction with the artist allowed the doctors to clarify their thoughts and improve their communication of the concepts involved.
